Yoo Seung Ho plays a young Jade King in Heaven in Arang and the Magistrate
Actor Yoo Seung Ho stars in MBC’s new drama series Arang and the Magistrate (written by Jung Yoon Jung, directed by Kim Sang Ho).
On April 27, Yoo’s agency said, “Yoo will make a special appearance in Arang and the Magistrate which will open in July.”
The character that Yoo portrays is a young, handsome
Jade King in Heaven. He is cheerful and free-spirited, but at the same
time, his heavy existence as a god provides him an inviolable charisma
which he rules the world with.
The king plays an important role in providing a key for
Arang (played by Shin Min Ah) and Eun Oh (played by Lee Joon Ki) in
their adventure.
The agency added, “He has decided to make a special
appearance because he has never played such a character before and he
found it attractive.”
Arang and the Magistrate is based on the motif of the legend of Arang. It
is a Korean historical TV series classified in a genre of fantasy and
melodrama. Arang is a clumsy, amnesiac spirit who tries to find the
truth of her innocent death, and the magistrate Eun Oh has a special
ability to perceive spirits but has a disrespectful personality. The
story develops as they encounter and begin an adventure.
